![]() ![]() The kid gets a gun, and instantly the bullies run away and do not come back, but once he has a gun, he ends up getting shot at in the middle of the street. The way it is shown in this book is by the power of the gun. They eventually get sick of being bullied so they always take it to the next step, to scare away the people that are bullying them. I see how a kid is at first, all innocent and kind, but they end up getting bullied. In these diaries, i begin to see violence. What meaning do you see in the diaries? What lessons might these stories teach? She does have a big heart though, she knows somewhere deep inside she can have an influence on these kids and effect the positively, and get them out of this loophole.ģ. She is thinking more negatively than thinking positively. Little does she know that she has the ability to change these kids lives. She knows that she is a far different teacher than what all of these kids expect her to be. ![]() She seems to be very fearful, and she thinks that the students will make fun of her, not listen to her. She thinks about the violence that goes on around the environment and she knows the influences of the students.Overall, the tone i would use to describe the beginning of “Freshman Year” would be fear. ![]() Instead of thinking about the future that lies ahead for her in the school, she begins to think about the schools past, the type of people that go to the school. Gruwell as she appears in the beginning of the book? How does she relate to her students? How do the students relate to the teachers? To each other?
